Shannon Powell-Ross leads Warrandyte Venom to Big V Women's Division I Championship (Australia)

Shannon Powell-Ross will board a flight this evening and make her return to the USA. This time she returns with a Big V Division I Women's Championship and MVP honors. Shannon finishes the season leading the league in scoring, assists and steals and if that wasn't impressive enough-standing at only 5'6- finished 5th in rebounding. She continues to represent El Paso, TX in the best light with her strong play on both ends of floor.
If you have been living under a rock, Powell-Ross is a Bel-Air High School alum and went on to play in Division I basketball in California at the University of San Francisco. After finishing her college career she continued to pursue her Masters and compete under the Southwest Desert Lynx. Powell-Ross was a crucial component to the 2021 National Championship team before leaving the country to play professionally in Ireland. There, she would earn All-Irish Super League Import Player of the Year, Player of the Year, and All-Irish First Team honors. (eurobasket.com) She would help lead the Lynx to two consecutive Final 4 appearances and earn All-WBA First Team honors before leaving for Australia.
